I. Using the Website - Individual Health

Now you can obtain a quotation and/or apply directly online. The two carrier partners we have selected are Unicare and Celtic Insurance for the following reasons:

• Unicare is the largest provider of individual health and top rated the past 4 years by Fortune Magazine.
• Celtic Insurance is rated first by Consumer Reports Magazine and offers insurance in many states.
• Besides being competitively priced and financially secure, both carriers are long-term specialists in the individual health benefits field.

To access either, go to the left bottom side of our homepage and click on the individual carrier tab button and proceed accordingly

II. Using the Website - Temporary or Travel Health

Because there are situations wherein people need insurance on a temporary basis (ie. Between jobs, applying for new health insurance or traveling abroad), you can now obtain next day coverage by applying online through our Website. Just click on the tab listed temporary or travel and follow the directions.

III. Using the Website - Group Benefits Insurance

At last count, group health insurance alone can involve in excess of 10,000 variations. By using our across the board expertise your organization will avoid costly gaps and duplication. Additionally, we offer specialized assistance with respect to discriminatory benefits, business continuation and asset protection. Our specialists work closely with your business C.P.A. and/or attorney to create a financial services team concept on your behalf. In order to start the process, please click on the group benefits form button to be completed and e-mailed. We cannot emphasize the importance of complete, accurate and detailed information to ensure your organization obtains the best combination of benefits at the lowest cost available.
Due to the complexity and related problems associated with group benefits, a more thorough investigation concerning the best options available is required.

IV. Health and Benefits

With an aging population and rising medical costs, health and related benefits insurance offer protection for the perils of injury or illness. As with the catastrophic exposure due to premature death, illness or injury can destroy personal assets and affect future income.
Further complicating this issue is the lack of standardization for health and supplementary benefits. Here is a brief description covering general areas of interest:

Major Medical: Pays hospital, physician and related medical exposures due to covered illness or injury. Divided into two basic categories: individual and group. Major types include medical/surgical/hospitalization/HMO/PPO/POS.

Disability: Provide for the continued payment of monthly expenses when a covered physical or cognitive disorder takes away the ability to work and earn income. Due to potential frequency and severity issues, may be the most important of all coverages.

Medicare Supp: Depending on plan design, augments coverage provided by the Federal government under Part A) Hospital and Part B) Voluntary Medical Insurance for age 65 & Over. Acute and sub-acute care is the basis for coverage.

Long Term Care: A broad range of medical and non-medical services offered over a prolonged period of time. Triggering events would involve a chronic illness affecting two or more activities of daily living (ADL) or debilitating cognitive disorders (ie. Alzheimer’s disease).

V. Supplemental/Voluntary Benefits

Benefits offered to employees which are paid on a deductible basis by the employer or on a pre-tax basis by the employee that usually includes group term, disability, dental and vision (ie. Section 125- Cafeteria Program).

VI. Consumer Choice Programs

A new breed of higher deductible health programs designed to substantially reduce employer’s costs. MSA, HRA, FSA, and HSA usually require greater employee participation, but offer tax advantages in return.

VII. Summary/Commentary

According to current estimates, 46 million Americans are without health insurance and/or related benefits. In fact, current statistics indicate an individual is 4 times more likely to lose their home or business from illness/injury than from death.
As the American population continues to age, the cost for individuals and employees to provide meaningful protection for themselves and their family members will continue to rise.

Of highest priority is the efficient use of financial resources to protect from the catastrophic events. Going forward, individuals or employers would be foolish not to work with a financial services professional who has superior expertise concerning the structuring of meaningful and creative solutions providing the broadest array of coverage at the most affordable cost available.

Warning: Please note, completion of a form is not an offer to bind. Rather, an offer to bind involves an agreed premium, acceptance by a specific insurance carrier, and the payment of premium on a specified date.
If you are unclear concerning the purchase of insurance through us, please contact our agency manager Delilah Vaughan.
